Songwriter, performer and producer Rodney Crowell is as respected and beloved as any artist in Americana or the country music genre. And in recent years he’s added mastery of memoir and prose to his distinguished track record. So this special set of songs, stories and audience questions will be a conference highlight. Crowell is the songwriter who caught Jerry Reed’s ear in 1975 and went on to pen “Till I Gain Control Again," "Ain't Livin' Long Like This," "Leaving Louisiana in the Broad Daylight" and "Bluebird Wine." He’s the artist who scored five consecutive #1 hits on his 1988 album Diamonds & Dirt. He’s the great collaborator whose duets with Emmylou Harris are legend. And his latter day albums have ranked among the finest work in American music. There is a lot to talk (and sing) about in this intimate performance. Shuttle service is available from Sheraton Hotel.
